Privacy policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
This policy explains what Deskwisp ("we") keeps about you when you use the Deskwisp app for Windows, our website and the services behind them, why we keep it, who helps us run Deskwisp, and the choices you have. Questions go to hello@deskwisp.com.
What we keep
- Your account: your name, email address and profile picture from the way you sign in (Google, or your email address).
- Your bots and what you do with them: your bots and their settings, your chats with them, the tasks they run, what they remember about you and your business, and their activity, so they can work for you on any of your devices.
- Files you attach in a chat: kept on your PC, and given to your bots and their computers when a task needs them.
- Your bots' computers: what they open, download and write while they work for you.
- Your bots' email: the messages your bots send and receive, and their attachments. We keep attachment files for 30 days.
- Phone and texts, when you use them: your mobile number (once you add it), your bots' numbers (bought on your own AgentPhone account), and the texts and calls on them, with what was said on a call as text, so your bots can answer and you can see it in the app.
- Usage: how much AI credit and computer time your bots use, so we can count it against your plan.
- Your plan: which plan you're on and its status. We never see or store your card number.
- On your PC: the logins you save for your bots stay in a sealed vault on your PC. They're not sent to us, to the app's window or to an AI model. Your skills and plugins are kept on your PC too.
- How the app is used, if you leave "Share usage data" on in Settings: counts of what's done in the app (like bots made and tasks run) and error reports, never your messages, files, screens, contacts or keys. Turn it off at any time.
Why we keep it
- To run Deskwisp for you: your bots, their computers, their email and phone numbers, and your account. This is what our terms with you need.
- To count your use and bill your plan, and to keep the records the law asks for.
- To keep Deskwisp safe, find and fix problems, and stop abuse. This is our legitimate interest in running a safe service.
- To answer you when you write to us, and to tell you about changes that affect your account.
- For the website's analytics cookies: only when you accept them.
We don't sell your information or share it for advertising. We don't use your content to train AI models, and we don't give it to anyone to train theirs: the AI providers your bots use get it only to answer your bots.
Service providers
Like most online services, we rely on trusted providers for parts of Deskwisp: hosting our servers and database, signing you in, handling payments, running your bots' computers, the AI models your bots use, phone numbers and texts, and sending and receiving email.
They process your information only on our behalf, to provide their part of Deskwisp, under agreements that require them to protect it. Payments are handled by a payment provider acting as the merchant of record, so we never see your card details. You can ask us for the current list of providers at hello@deskwisp.com.
When you connect your bots to another service yourself (Telegram, Discord, Slack, Google, AgentPhone, your accounting app and so on), what they send and receive there is also handled by that service, under its own terms. When you add a skill or plugin from a library on GitHub, your PC downloads it from GitHub, which sees that request.
Where your information goes
Deskwisp is used around the world, and our providers run servers in several countries, including the United States. So your information may be handled outside the country you live in. Where the law asks for it, we use providers that offer safeguards for this, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
When we share information
Besides our service providers, we share information only when you ask us to, when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users and others, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy keeps applying to it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. Attachment files from your bots' email go after 30 days. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your information within 30 days, except what we must keep by law, such as payment records.
Your choices and rights
- See, correct or delete what your bots keep, including what they remember about you, in the app.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account, at hello@deskwisp.com. We answer within 30 days.
- Turn off usage data in Settings, and the website's cookies with "Cookie settings" on any page.
- Cancel your plan at any time in the app, under Account and usage.
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California or Morocco), you have more rights over your information: to object to how we use it, to have it moved to another service, or to withdraw a consent you gave. Write to us and we'll help. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live (in Morocco, the CNDP).
The website
deskwisp.com uses Google Analytics to count visits and downloads and to see which pages people read, so we can improve the site. The first time you visit, we ask whether you accept its cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies that tell your visits apart; if you don't, it sets none and receives only anonymous counts without identifiers. Either way it gets your browser's details and an approximate location, and we never use it for ads. You can change your answer at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Google's own use of this data is described at policies.google.com/privacy.
Our server also keeps logs of requests (such as your IP address, your browser and the page asked for) for 30 days, to keep the site working and safe and to count visits and downloads without cookies. After that we keep only daily totals.
The "Get it from Microsoft" button's picture is loaded from Microsoft's servers, which see your IP address and browser like any site you load a picture from.
Children
Deskwisp is for businesses and adults. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly keep information about children. If you think a child gave us information, write to us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, keep keys out of the app and away from AI models, and limit who can reach our systems. No service is perfectly secure, so if you find a problem, please tell us at hello@deskwisp.com.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email when the change matters.
